Throughout the fourth quarter of 2023, the carpooling and ridesharing sector in Qatar saw varied performance across the top apps on the Android platform. Here, we delve into the weekly downloads and active user metrics for the leading applications.

Uber - Request a ride experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 4.8K at the end of September and peaking at around 7K in late October. By the end of December, downloads had declined to roughly 3K. In terms of active users, the app maintained a steady presence, with numbers hovering around 63K at the beginning of the quarter, slightly dipping to 58K by the end of December.

badrgo, a newer entrant, showed a notable rise in weekly downloads. Kicking off with 258 downloads in late October, the app saw a significant increase, peaking at 4.8K in mid-December before settling at around 2.6K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed modest weekly download numbers, with a slight peak of approximately 1.5K in early October. By the end of December, downloads slightly decreased to around 1.1K. Active users for the app remained relatively stable, starting at 4.5K and ending the quarter at around 4.4K.

TaxiF Driver - Be the Captain! maintained a consistent performance in weekly downloads, ranging from 759 to 1.3K throughout the quarter. Active user numbers showed minor fluctuations, starting at 3.6K and ending at approximately 3.6K as well.

Lastly, Ryde: Request affordable rides saw its weekly downloads start at 793 and peak at 1.1K in early October. However, downloads gradually declined, reaching 310 by the end of December.
